A Big Hoopla

The weekend started off with a big hoopla' as we slide into a another work week.  Grace played during the halftimes of both the JV and Varsity games on Friday night and then we hit the road to hit the court again on Sunday for a big Tournament in Manty.  She plays an active defense and grabs plenty of rebounds and stuck a few points in the hoop as well.  Her team even gained a bonus game on Sunday afternoon for a four game tournament.  It was enough basketball that even though we made it back into town on time, coach still cancelled the evenings practice.  Between those hours of hoops we hit the slopes!  There is a small but respectfully fun hill not too far from the house and we made the short drive and spent the day on the downhill slopes.  The weather was perfect and the girls quickly got their ski legs under them to hit the bigger slopes.  Grace toppled off the t-bar a few times but always with a smile and other than one minor twist of a shoulder there weren't any injuries to speak of.  We will certainly try to make it out again this winter if we can fit it in around the kids' sporting commitments and maybe hit the bigger slopes further north.  The other photo is of Unicorn noodles..what is a better side dish than purple and pink noodles with a chemistry lesson to boot!
