Grandprize and Grandma were in the Door and invited us our for a lunch date!! Silly grandparents, lunch isn't a summer thing....ice cream is a summer thing...so we meet them in Sturgeon Bay at the Frozen Spoon. The ice cream was great and the weather was perfect as we chatted about their vacation and ours. We walked down to the water's edge to dip our toes in and marvel at the giant yachts that were moored in the harbor. The visit was way too short so we extended it by heading north to the Fun Park for some water balloon battles and some Go-kart racing. Ella quickly pointed out that there wasn't any way to win the Water wars, but I think they will all remember that they won the Go kart race. With some hugs in the parking lot we finally headed different directions that both lead to vacation. I am not sure about theirs but ours meant a stop for cherry picking. With a couple of buckets of tart cherries....Merrick's face indicates that some were more tart than others...we made our final leg home.
